Joshua Tree

(Remember when this website was a travel blog?)

This fall, Andrew and I spent a week in Joshua Tree, California to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. We stayed in a little Airbnb rental, hiked (highlights for us were Fortynine Palms Oasis and Ryan Mountain trails) and stargazed in the national park, and took in the beauty of the quiet and massive desert landscape around us. Rain on the first day of our trip broke a heatwave and we enjoyed lovely weather the rest of our time there to watch birds, relax, and see a vibrant harvest moon rising.

My painting Untitled (Abstraction 5 of 7) is included in “Wild Lands”, curated by Gina Tuzzi. She writes, “Finding our place in the balance is one hell of a dance.” This online exhibition will be live through December 6, 2020.

For the second year in a row, I’m happy to have a piece in benefit art exhibition for the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. My painting Return is included in this auction (with online bidding this year) from October 24-30. Proceeds support participating artists (like me!) as well as the Bemis Center’s programs.
