For Visual AIDS‘ Postcards from the Edge benefit exhibition which took place last month — I am honored to contribute in this small way to their meaningful work.
Last November, I was invited to be an artist-in-residence at Jen Tough Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. I worked on a cycle of twelve small drawings, the most I’ve ever intentionally worked on simultaneously and as a series. In addition, it was a treat to get outside for some plein aire sketching and to visit multiple museums during my time in Santa Fe. When everything else drops away, it’s amazing how much art can be accomplished in a single week! I really enjoyed and appreciated my time and certainly hope to return to Santa Fe in the future.
